Life is simple. Every situation and interaction we have during our life on Planet Earth falls into one of three energy patterns. You are either involved in business, personal or social energy at any point in time. Learning to identify each of these and the importance of balancing each will help you immensely during your practical spiritual living.

Personal

Personal is just you and your guidance. Personal energy never involves other people. Spiritually, you don’t have personal relationships with others. When other people are involved it is either business or social energy. Your personal is your feelings about your situations and yourself. Personal energy is the one you have total control over because this is the energy that begins within you and flows out to your environment. You are in personal while meditating, cleansing, regrouping, taking a shower, sleeping, etc. It is important to devote some time for personal each day.

Social

Social energy always involves other people. In social, anything goes. Social is all about communication. We love social! It is a chance to share with others and develop friendships. However, in social situations there are no guidelines or rules to follow. This can make it difficult to discern where social begins and ends. This is why too much social can be a big pitfall for many people. Manipulation needs social energy. The desire to please people, rather than be of service is social energy. Read on.

Business

Business is goal oriented. You can be in business alone or with others. People come together for a common goal in business. There are guidelines to follow and people work with the facts; the What, When, Where and Why of a situation. When I am in business energy I feel secure because I know what my purpose is, and I’m motivated to be involved with the opportunity.

When you can define which of these three energies you are involved in at a particular moment, you will feel more secure because your environmental discernment is more accurate. Most people have problems when they are too social in a business situation. This is tricky, because social skills are necessary in business.
Have you ever worked with a person who spent more time gossiping than doing their job? How did you feel around this person? If we are not careful, being too social can result in gossip, bitching, and manipulation of people. This will attract outside pressure to the mix, and pretty soon the atmosphere really deteriorates.

Balanced people will avoid the confusion created by mixing these energies. They may become loners in an attempt to stay detached. The real solution is to keep the communications business-like. This means working with the facts; the what, when, where & why. If the facts of each opportunity are clearly defined and communicated, everyone knows where they fit and have the security of knowing where their boundaries begin and end.

Learning to discern these three energy patterns and work with them will help you have clearer communication with your guidance and people. Your spiritual buffer zone will be stronger so you will be more relaxed and enjoy life on a higher level.
